As the weather continues to get colder and colder, it’s getting easier and easier to decide to stay inside with friends and have movie nights or binge nights. All of my favorite streaming subscriptions are adding new movies and tv shows every month. For November, I want to write down all of the shows and movies that I’m looking forward to watching or enjoy rewatching!
Netflix
Netflix has been the holy grail of streaming for a lot of people. There are so many benefits! No commercials, recommendations for every user based on their watching history, and shows/movies being organized in a great way. I’ve been using Netflix for years and I know I’m going to continue this subscription for a long time. Here are some of the shows and movies that you should look forward to and watch in November!
The Walking Dead
I’ve been watching this show since the first year it came to Netflix! The plot lines are detailed, intense, and hard to guess. The cast is made up of great people and they all bring life into their character. There’s action, romance, and everything in between. I’ve known a bunch of people with different interests and sometimes the only thing they had in common was liking this show. They just uploaded the eighth season of The Walking Dead and I recommend it!
The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina
I grew up watching Sabrina the Teenage Witch (and I mention it later in this post!) and loved it. When I heard Netflix did their own twist on Sabrina, I was immediately interested. I watched the trailer (you can watch it here) and put it on my list. When I finish The Walking Dead, this is the next show I want to binge. Netflix took a bit of a dark twist on the original storyline, so I’m hoping that I like what they’ve done with it!
Riverdale
The second season of this show was added somewhat recently, but I haven’t been able to get around to it yet. It’s quite popular in both my hometown and at my college. I’ve heard mixed reviews, but I enjoyed watching the first season so I plan on finishing the second. Like The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, this show has a modern and darker twist than the original Riverdale characters. Murder, betrayal, and secrets run rampant in this town and it’s captivating to watch.
Hulu
I have Hulu through my Spotify subscription (which is a great deal) and have found and enjoyed some great shows. While having commercials is annoying, it’s not the worst price to pay in order to watch other shows that aren’t on other streaming sites. If you have a Hulu subscription (or want one), these are the shows you should watch!
How I Met Your Mother
This classic sitcom was taken off Netflix, which caused an uproar with fans. When I found out I could watch it on Hulu, I was very happy. I love having a sitcom on in the background when I’m doing something else, like writing or doing homework. This comedic show is one of the better sitcoms I’ve watched and will always be happy to have it on.
Community
I didn’t know this was a sitcom until I found it on Hulu. When I saw there were six seasons, I was ecstatic. This show covers a lot of different topics that are relevant to everyone of any age. The characters are complex and original, which is a refreshing twist from some of the more popular shows around today. I highly recommend this show for the dynamic between Britta and Jeff.
One Tree Hill
One of the best shows out there! When it was on Netflix, I didn’t show any interest in it (which I regretted). When I joined Hulu, I saw it was available and I immediately starting watching. I love the plot, the characters, and the dynamics of those characters. I recommend this show to anyone who loves basketball, shows set in high school, and characters growing together on a show.
Amazon Prime
This is just another bonus of having a Prime account. Besides getting killer deals and fast shipping, you get access to some of the best shows and movies around with no commercials. Such a great add-on to the other benefits of having the membership.
Bones
This has been one of my favorite shows ever since I saw the first season in Denmark when I was in middle school. With a bunch of different mysteries and murders every episode, this show gets you hooked fast. With every season, new villains come into the picture and make things interesting. I love this show dearly and hope it’s always available.
Psych
Another sitcom that was unfairly taken off of Netflix. I still have it on in the background when I’m cooking or cleaning whenever I get the chance. A smart guy pretends to be a psychic and helps solve crime with his best friend and dad. It’s a great show and will recommend it to anyone who has a sense of humor. Every episode is super different, which is refreshing.
Teen Wolf
This is such a great show. I’ve watched it since the beginning, and was devastated when Netflix got rid of it. Amazon Prime picked it up soon after, which made watching it a lot easier. I love Lydia’s fashion sense and actually based some of my Fall Outfit Ideas off of her character. With loads of action, drama, and romance, I suggest this show to people who liked Vampire Diaries and Pretty Little Liars.
If you know any of these shows and or want to know more, leave a comment down below! I had so much fun writing this and can’t wait to watch some of the new shows I found in my research. Thank you so much for reading!
Love,
Kaitlin
