How to Reduce Stress!

It’s the first week of the semester and I’m already a bit stressed. I just have a lot on my plate, from school to volleyball to friends to dating to everything in between! And with my classes just starting up, I know things are only going to get harder from here. Thanks to that, I compiled a list of ways to de-stress that I want to share with everyone!

Do Something That Makes You Happy

For me, there are a bunch of things that makes me happy. From doing my makeup, to reading a book, to hanging with friends, there a tons of things that I enjoy to do. When I’m feeling stressed or down, I try to do something that makes me happy to be able handle anything that the university or volleyball throws at me! Sometimes I’ll watch an episode of my favorite show or read a book that I like. Anything to get my mind off of whatever is stressing me out!

Listen to Favorite Music

This is a big one for me! I love listening to music to get my mind off everything. My favorite artists at the moment are Logic, Ariana Grande, and Arctic Monkeys. Music is a great way to relax because it can be so calming! I love taking hot showers with my favorite music blasting because it calms me more than anything else I can think of. I highly recommend listening to music that makes you happy, there’s no downside!

Make Time for Fun

I think this might be the most important one of the list! Spend time with friends. Watch a great movie. Go for a hike. Do something that will de-stress you! Make time in your schedule for things that truly make you happy and make you smile. I’m baking with friends this weekend and I cannot wait! By having something to really look forward to, it makes everything more bearable.

These are my favorite ways to stop stressing about something. Depending on the situation, one or more of these tricks will help you out. With the semester becoming more and more difficult, there’s a lot to think about. I’m happy about these tricks because it helps battle it! Thank you so much for reading!
