I’m so glad that the weather is warming up again! We had a bit of rain earlier in the week, but for the majority of the time we had sun at my college. Spring makeup is one of my favorites because it’s such a simple look. It’s easy and minimalistic, which is perfect for people who are always on the move. Here are some of the necessities you’ll need for spring!
Moisturizer
Moisturizer is one of those items that are needed during every season of the year. I used my favorite moisturizer every day of winter, even on the days when I didn’t wear makeup. I love the Rodan and Field’s Moisture Replenishing Cream. I’ve been using it for years and recommend it to everyone who needs a new moisturizer! It is a little expensive, but I think it’s totally worth every penny. My skin will always feel so smooth and hydrated, even five minutes after I use it. And with warm weather and spring coming up, everyone should have hydrated skin!
Mascara
No matter how much or how little makeup you wear, mascara will almost always be a part of every look. I’ve been looking into different mascaras recently and found a super cheap alternative for amazing lashes: L’oreal’s Lash Paradise! For only $8.99 (or cheaper if you have coupons), you can get lashes comparable to Too Faced’s Better than Sex ($23). I’ve been using Hourglass’s Caution mascara and I’ve been happy with everything about it except for the price tag ($29!). I definitely recommend finding a mascara that you love and can use it for the entire spring!
Highlighter
This has become one of my favorite parts of my routine. I’ve been alternating between Fenty Beauty and Anastasia Beverly Hills for my highlighters. Both products give an amazing glow, which is perfect for sunny springtime. On my lazier makeup days (or when I’m running late), all I will do is mascara and highlighter, which is more than enough for me. I think highlighter is perfect for spring because the glow enhances the beauty of whoever wears it!
CC Cream
CC Cream has SPF+, which is why it’s a necessity for spring! The sun is coming out again and everyone should protect their skin to the best of their ability while feeling good. I’ve been hearing great things about the IT Cosmetics’ Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream with 50 SPF+. It’s a full coverage cream and works with all skin types. It’s perfect for spring because you can do a minimal look with maximum sun protection. This product also won an Allure Beauty Award in 2018! I would definitely check it out.
Tinted Lip Balm
When I’m not wearing lipstick, I’m usually wearing lip balm or tinted lip balm! Just like moisturizer, I want my lips to always be hydrated. My personal favorite has been Maybelline BabyLips for as long as I can remember because they’re affordable and pack a lot of punch with their color and shine. You can find them at basically any Ulta near you, and I highly suggest picking one or two up for spring! I keep one in my backpack and one in my car so that I’m always prepared for whatever life throws at me.
These are all of the products that are necessary for spring! I love this season because everything is simple and the weather is delightful.
