Happy Friday the 13th! I’m in a great mood because today is the last day of finals week for my university and I am officially on winter break. I have so many things to look forward to over the next six weeks: skiing, hanging out with friends, and relaxing after one of the hardest semesters I’ve ever been through. Winter has always been one of my favorite times of year for a variety of reasons, but one reason is for all of the fun winter-themed dates that can be had!
A classic winter activity! No matter where you are, there are always ice rinks and different places where you and your significant other will be able to skate around holding hands. It’s a great photo op and there are more than enough caption possibilities. I personally love ice skating, so it’s always something that I look forward to during the winter season!
Christmas Movie and Cookies
This is one of the easier and simpler date ideas that is always guaranteed to be fun. All you need is some Pillsbury Christmas cookies and a Netflix original playing and you have a winter date idea! Some recommendations for Christmas movies include the Grinch, The Christmas Prince, The Royal Switch, and any Netflix original you can find! It’s that time of year for cheesy romance and delicious cookies.
Watching Christmas Lights
Another easy idea is to try out this holiday season is seeing beautiful holiday lights! There are some great neighborhoods through California where the residents go all out for the holiday season. It’s a cute idea to be surrounded by holiday cheer with your partner and talk about which decorations you like best and why! I highly recommend it because it’s a fun activity and you can learn more about each other.
One of the best things about winter is being able to ski as much as possible. Taking your significant other with you and hitting the mountain together? Be still, my heart! Skiing with your partner is so much fun, especially when you’re both competitive and challenge each other to different runs. Not to mention bonding over lunch at the chalet or chatting on the ski lift! This is a great date because you get to do something exciting with your date and learn more about each other.
Decorating a Gingerbread House
If you’re an artistic person or like making fun of those with less artistic talent, decorating a gingerbread house together is a great idea. With a Christmas playlist going on in the background, this is a great date for spending quality time with each other and getting to really chat while decorating the houses.
These are some of the winter date ideas that I’ve seen recently! I think the holidays are such a romantic season and such fun. Have you tried any of these dates? Do you have any date ideas? Let me know down in the comments! Thank you so much for reading!
