Since everyone has been staying at home per government order, everyone has had a lot of time on their hands. I’ve been spending my time on baking! I used to bake all the time when I lived with my parents during high school because they would have all the ingredients I would need (something about being a true adult is when you have flour in your pantry–I can’t explain it).
I love cookie dough (before and after its time in the oven) but I don’t love the risk of getting an upset stomach from the eggs in the raw dough. To combat this fear, I have found the perfect egg-less cookie dough to enjoy while everyone is stuck in their homes for the stay-at-home order.
Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (or more if you have a bigger sweet tooth)
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 6 tbsp flour
- 1/4 cup milk chocolate chips (or whatever chocolate you’d like, you decide your fate)
First, mix together the butter and the two kinds of sugars. Once they are combined, I added in the vanilla extract and the salt. Then, I slowly adding the flour to the mix (one tbsp at a time, folding it into the mixture until it became a dough). After everything was put together, I added in the chocolate chips.
After putting everything together, I got to sit down and enjoy my egg-less cookie dough. And, as I was sitting at my desk enjoying the dessert, I knew I had to share it with everyone. Let me know down in the comments if you try this at home! I would love to know how it turns out for everyone. And, as always, thank you for reading!
Love,
