My June Favourites!

June simultaneously felt like one of the faster and slower months of 2021. That being said, June is one of the best months for me so far this year! A lot of really good things happened to me and I was able to pursue new opportunities. I got to try new things and I was able to enjoy some old favourites. I was able to order new things that I had been wanting for a long time, and an order that had been placed last month finally arrived! I can’t wait to get into it so without further ado, here are my favourites for the month of June!

The Bachelorette

It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of the Bachelor franchise. The 17th season of The Bachelorette finally started this month! We’re three episodes in so far and I can’t believe the amount of drama that has already transpired. For the first time ever, I’m doing the Bachelorette Bracket for predicting/tracking who is getting roses and who is getting sent home and I have to tell you; it’s a lot of fun! It makes the experience that much more interesting to see which of my friends are making which predictions and making it competitive. I’m liking Katie, the Bachelorette, more than I expected and can’t wait to see what happens in her season and who she ends up with!

FairyLoot

The end of May and the beginning of June marked the official restock sale for FairyLoot (different books and bookish items that were previously included in boxes) and I made out like a bandit. I was able to snag a number of books and bookish merchandise (mugs!). One of the items has already shipped, and I can’t wait for it to come in. I was able to snag These Violent Delights by Chloe Gong and Lore by Alexandra Bracken. And, just a week or so after I was able to get almost everything I wanted from the restock sale, I got the email that I had been waiting for. I was officially off of the waitlist for FairyLoot! I had been waiting since the beginning of April and was able to activate my subscription in order to receive the July Tales Retold box. And yes, I will be filming an unboxing when I receive it in the mail!

Illumicrate

Another subscription that I activated in time for it to be included in my June favourites would be Illumicrate! My first box will be the June Out of the Woods box. I heard a few rumours about what the book of the month will be and I’m quite excited about it! Much like the FairyLoot box, I will be filming an unboxing when I receive it in the mail. Also, Illumicrate had some special edition books that I was able to snag. I was able to get Ace of Spades, which had been on my TBR for a while. The book was signed, had an exclusive hardcover stamp, and came with a matching wood bookmark and an enamel pin! And then, yesterday, I was able to get the special edition of The Night Circus. Illumicrate is a very popular book box subscription and I was super excited to get off the waitlist!

2021 iMac with M1 Chip

I had my eye on this computer as soon as I heard that they were going to be making pink iMacs. I know who I am and what I’m about, so I knew that it was something that was on my wish list. When the anniversary of my college graduation came up, I wanted to celebrate. I was able to order it with the tech specs that I wanted along with the accessories (hello, pink keyboard, pink trackpad, and pink Magic Mouse!) that would match the pink computer best. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to use this computer and be able to edit videos and write content on such a powerful machine. I’m utterly obsessed with it and can’t wait to see all of the power within the machine!

Manifest

I had watched maybe two or three episodes of this show when it first aired on TV. For whatever reason, I didn’t stick with it (which is super common for me, I think I’ve only finished eight shows all the way through!). So far I have watched six episodes of the first season with my mom. She’s super into it, which makes it easy for us to power through episodes. I definitely like the family dynamic between Michaela and Ben, along with Cal and Olive (the twins). I know that CBS cancelled the show after only two seasons, but I’m excited to see what the show has to offer! Have you started watching it? If you have, let me know what you think down in the comments!

These are my favourites from the month of June! I’m so grateful for the new things I was able to try and can’t wait to see my subscriptions when they come in the mail. I’m also looking forward to using my iMac to edit my unboxing videos when I film them! I have a lot of fun things coming up in the month of July and I can’t wait to see what happens. If you have any comments or recommendations, please let me know about them in the comments! And, as always, thank you so much for reading!

Love,

Kaitlin
