I Got the 2021 Pink iMac!

I am so, so, so grateful that I was able to get the 2021 Pink iMac 24″. I was lucky enough to order it as a graduation anniversary gift as part of the celebration. It came in the mail a month later, and I have been in love with it ever since! The set up was so simple because all I had to do was plug in the power and sign into my Apple ID. I’ve used it every day since I got it (aside from when I was on vacation) and absolutely love it. Here are my honest thoughts and impressions about the 24″ 2021 iMac in pink!

Display

When I read about the new iMac, one of the parts that was heavily advertised was the fact that the display was incredible. And, after over a week of use, I can confirm that the display is in fact amazing. It’s sharper than my MacBook Pro, and shows the details at a higher level. The TrueTone is also highly effective. The display adapts to all the different lightings in my room, no matter the time or how many lights are on. I love how adaptive the computer is and how fast it reacts to my surroundings in real-time. I’ve been watching videos on it when I have the ability to, and the clarity is astounding. It’s now my favourite way to watch different content creators!

Speed

Another part of my experience using the iMac that surprised me was the speed of the computer. Editing? A breeze. Writing? The words appear on the screen almost faster than I can type them. It’s so impressive to see how quickly the computer can process all of the commands and almost intuitively know what I’m wanting to do. It’s been quite a ride to see how the technology for Apple has developed. I got my first MacBook back in high school, when I was gifted a MacBook Air for Christmas. Now, seeing the different between each of the computers I have been lucky enough to use, I can safely say: Apple has improved tremendously. The speed is commendable and I highly recommend!

Ease of Use

Despite this being my first personal desktop computer, I was able to figure out to use it quite easily. Everything works well together and I’m continually impressed to see all of the components working in tandem. And, if I want to know any further tips and tricks, it’s a simple Google search away or I can look through YouTube to see what other users have done before. One of the biggest bonuses of using such a popular brand and computer is that there are always more things to learn and ways to improve the use!

Magic Mouse, Trackpad, and Magic Keyboard with Touch ID

I absolutely am obsessed with the trackpad and the Magic Keyboard. The keyboard has TouchID on it, so I can complete payments or log into accounts with the touch of a finger. The accessories are also coloured to match the colour of the iMac, so everything is pink! It’s so aesthetic and so cute. I was able to purchase a pink mousepad with cartoon cats on it that matches the shade of pink exactly and I love how everything ties together. I like the Magic Mouse, but I have to admit I’m more partial to the Trackpad. It’s exactly like the one on my laptop and I use it more!

Overall

All in all, I’m quite impressed with the computer. It’s an incredible machine and seems to work at the speed of light. I believe it to be worth the money if you’re creative like me and spend hours in front of the screen either writing or designing graphics. I’m a huge fan of Apple and all of its products, so I’ve known for a while that I wanted the desktop iMac. Now, having used it for almost two weeks, I can confirm what I had suspected: I love it. I recommend looking into different reviews/videos on YouTube to see what others are saying if you’re on the fence. However, if you take my word for it, I don’t think you’ll regret it! If you have an iMac, let me know your thoughts below in the comments. And, as always, thank you so much for reading!

Love,

Kaitlin
