Fall Things to Look Forward To!

I love autumn. It’s tied with winter on my list of favorite seasons. There are so many great things to look forward to and enjoy! I wanted to write them down so I can share them with everyone.

Leaves Changing Color

One of the best things about fall is that it’s so beautiful. When the leaves change color, I’m always in awe. The vibrant colors are fascinating! My dad always takes trips up north when the leaves change and the pictures he sends me are incredible. Once I’m done with school, I want to move up north and always see the leaves change. While southern California is gorgeous, I’m more attracted to the northern landscape.

Pumpkin Patches

This one almost doesn’t need explaining! I love pumpkin patches because they’re perfect for everyone. Kids love them and can take field trips to them, families can visit and have picnics while taking cute pictures, couples absolutely love them, and they’re just a fun time, no matter who you are!

The best part is that you can bring pumpkins home with you to decorate your home or make delicious fall recipes, such as pumpkin pie! There’s never a reason not to go to a pumpkin patch this fall. Check out the one at Cal Poly Pomona!

Baking Fall Recipes

As I mentioned, there are tons of pumpkin and fall recipes that are to die for. Some of my personal favorites are the desserts that come around this time of year. Here are some of the ones that you need to try!

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread: This one is a classic so it had to be on the list. Perfect for fall (and in my opinion, every time of the year!) You can find an awesome recipe for this dish here.

Apple Crisp: This is actually a dish that my mom makes every fall and every winter. I’ve grown up on it and can’t recommend it enough. This dessert is perfect with ice cream or without (but I definitely recommend French Vanilla!). You can find a similar recipe for it here! (Mom won’t give out her recipe, it’s a family secret!)

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins: This is a fun twist on an iconic dish! The second I saw this recipe I knew I had to try it. Chocolate chip muffins makes everyone happy, so this recipe is a must-do for fall. You can find the recipe I found here!

Halloween

Another amazing part of fall that everyone loves. People get to dress up in funny or cute costumes, kids love doing it, everyone gets candy, and some amazing people dress up their pets as the cutest things ever. It’s an amazing time for so many reasons. Not to mention all of the cute decorations you can get for your home! Check out a Target near you to see what stuff you can pick up today!
