Everyone is always excited for fall because the weather gets colder and you have more options for outfits. My absolute favorite part is the ability to layer as much as you want. In high school, when I wasn’t always busy with volleyball and studying, I was able to dress cute every day.
Some of my favorite outfits I’ve ever worn were when I was in high school. I actually used to run another blog dedicated to fashion and would take pictures of what I wore and post about it. And since we’re getting into the heart of fall season, I thought I would share some of the best fall outfits and some ideas!
Neutral Browns
This is such a classic look and is so recreateable. I’m wearing one of my favorite coats with can pair with any darker color, like my suede boots. I have a chunky white-knit sweater over an A-line dress with white knee socks. I love the combination of white and brown because it’s always effortless and timeless.
Bold Colors
I love the bold pop of color this coat adds. I have my favorite white silk shirt tucked into a black mini-skirt with sheer tights and black heeled booties. With the bright red coat, it makes a statement. It’s an easy look to make, all you need is a neutral outfit and a bright colored jacket. I’m pretty sure I got this coat from Macy’s, so if you’re in need of one you know where to find it!
Faux Leather Skirts
I like this look because it includes layers and mixing patterns. The cute cut-out sweater looks so good with the faux-leather skirt matched with grey knee socks and brown boots. I have a black and white dotted sweater to put over if I get too cold. I love the femininity the skirt adds to this look.
Stripes and Pleats
This is definitely one of the more monochromatic looks I’ve worn in autumn. With a white and black striped sweater, I’m definitely staying warm. The high-waisted pleated skirt with the black tights and black heels look so good together. I also have a patterned sweater to put over should I need to. The black purse is from LeatherWorks and literally can fit everything I need into it. I will definitely be recreating this look for fall.
Patterned Knee Socks
The knee socks are the statement piece of this outfit. The white shirt and suede skirt are cute, but they’re a bit bland on their own. The socks really make it original and seasonal. The suede booties are from Steve Madden and are always in style. Out of all of the looks, this is the easiest to recreate on your own. All you need is a neutral outfit and pair it with bold and fun knee socks!
Wow, I’m so happy I ran that fashion blog in high school. How else could I remember all of the cute looks that I wore? I’m going to be re-wearing a bunch of these outfits because they’re so great. I hope you enjoyed reading about all the fall fashion ideas you should try. Thank you so much for reading!
Love,
