With Thanksgiving and spending time with my family and friends, I’ve had a lot of time to think about what I’m grateful and thankful for. For this post, I want to make it personal and share with everyone why I’m thankful for everything in my life. For those this is dedicated to, thank you for being in my life.
My Parents
My mom and dad are my biggest supporters. I can’t thank them enough for everything that they do for me. They have really been there for me through everything and every sport, hobby, or interest. My dad would throw a volleyball to me to work on accuracy for volleyball and my mom would work out with me to help encourage me when I wanted to stop.
When I was writing my book, they would read it and give me their honest opinion. Thanks to them, I was able to finish it before high school and publish it before college. They never let me down. When I first started my blog, they helped me figure out how to use the website and any other things I need to know.
Mom and Dad, I can’t tell you how grateful I am that you are in my life. You have made me strong, independent, smart, brave, and happy. You always have my back and I can’t wait to see you guys again. I love you.
My Friends
Spar, Emma, Monay, Gresh, Finn, Naomy, Angela, you guys are amazing. You always make me laugh and help me focus on the things in life that really matter. Some of my best memories involve you guys. I am thankful that you guys are in my life. A girl like me is so lucky to have friends like you.
No matter where I am, I know I can count on my friends. They lift me up when I need it and make the worst days better. I’ve learned a lot from each of you and I use each lesson almost every day. Most of all, the lesson of what it’s like to be loved. To be loved by my friends is such a blessing. I love you guys.
My Coaches
I am thankful for every coach I’ve ever had. Both the good and the bad. I have truly learned something from every coach that either applies to life or my sport. Being an athlete for the past ten years has been a big blessing because I’ve been able to enjoy a bunch of different things over the years. I’ve enjoyed the sport and the teams I’ve been on. Rosie and Traci, thank you for all that you do and all that you’ve done. I have learned so much from both of you.
My Team
I’m so grateful for my team. We made it to the NCAA Quarterfinal Regional Tournament together. We beat the odds together and we stuck by each other. I can’t tell you how grateful I am to have been on my team this season. We worked together and got better together. We truly are our each others’ second family. I can’t wait to do it all again during spring season and then again for my senior year. Go Broncos!
Wow, I’m truly lucky. I have so much in my life to be thankful for. To everyone in my life, thank you. In this reflective time of the year, I am happy where I am compared to last year. I feel stronger, I’m happier, and I love who I am. Everyone in this post that I mentioned has been a part of this journey for me and I’m more than grateful. Thank you.
Thank you for reading this post! I know it’s not my normal topic, but I wanted to thank everyone in my life for being amazing. I wouldn’t be who I am without all of the people I’ve met and experiences I’ve had. Even the bad things are good because of how strong I am after the dust settled. Thank you for reading.
Love,
Kaitlin
