I can’t believe another month has flown by! It’s absolutely crazy how fast November has been. This has been a month of reflection for me, mostly focusing on what makes me happy and things that I value. I am so grateful for all of the things in my life (both the good and the bad) because it helps make me who I am. It’s such an amazing thing to look at everything in your life and be happy with what you see. Here are some of the things that made me happy this month!
Kindle Unlimited
I absolutely love this program! Easily one of the best things Amazon has ever come up with. There are literally thousands and thousands of books under the reach of this program and I’ve read a lot of my favorite books through it. Check out my posts about my favorite books to see which ones (two of my top five books from My Top Five Romance Book Favorites!). Leave a comment down below if you want an updated version of that!
Overall, I love this program and recommend it to anyone who loves books. For only $9.99 a month, you can read as many books as your heart desires. You can only have ten on your bookshelf at a time, but returning the books are so simple that it’s almost too easy. Read more about the Kindle Unlimited Program.

Kylie Cosmetics
Kylie Cosmetics is now available in every Ulta! When I heard the news, I knew I would be visiting one of the many locations near me. I haven’t used many products from Kylie Cosmetics because I’ve found it impossible to determine which shade would work for me and shipping prices are always a chore. I ended up picking up Charm Velvet Lipstick and Candy K Matte LipKit. Both are great colors for me and I could only figure out what would work for me in person.
Since Kylie just recently agreed to launch her products in Ulta, there is a limited selection available in stores. There are twelve or so options for everyone and there is a good shade range. Only the most popular products were launched in the start, I’ve been told. I recommend stopping by an Ulta near you if you want to try some great lipstick!

New Girl TV Show
I’ve been a fan of this sitcom since it first started. It’s a great show to watch or just have running in the background. I love the characters, the plot, the relationships, and Ferguson the cat. It’s very original and keeps to popular trends throughout the years, making it easy to relate to the characters. You can watch this show on either Netflix or Hulu, I completely recommend this show to everyone! There is something for anyone who watches it.

Red Queen Book Series
I read the first two books of the series in 2016, but I read them again this month. I’m currently reading the last book in the series, War Storm, and I can’t wait to see what happens. I love Victoria Aveyard’s writing style because it’s fluid and has a lot of metaphors. As a writer, I can really appreciate her words and how they flow. I love this book series and think everyone should read it! You can find Red Queen here.
Synopsis of Red Queen: Mare Barrow’s world is divided by blood—those with common, Red blood serve the Silver-blooded elite, who are gifted with superhuman abilities. Mare is a Red, scraping by as a thief in a poor, rural village, until a twist of fate throws her in front of the Silver court. Before the king, princes, and all the nobles, she discovers she has an ability of her own.
To cover up this impossibility, the king forces her to play the role of a lost Silver princess and betroths her to one of his own sons. As Mare is drawn further into the Silver world, she risks everything and uses her new position to help the Scarlet Guard—a growing Red rebellion—even as her heart tugs her in an impossible direction. One wrong move can lead to her death, but in the dangerous game she plays, the only certainty is betrayal.

Free People Clothing
It was my birthday yesterday (yay for turning twenty!), and a lot of the gifts that I asked for were Free People clothes! I got two black sweaters and a beautiful black cord mini skirt. I have loved this brand ever since I started college because I always found really cute pieces in Macy’s. Pro hack: if you have a Macy’s card and like shopping the sales rack, you can find some great clothes for an amazing deal.
This is a bit more of an expensive clothing company, but I honestly find all of my clothes from Free People at Macy’s, Nordstrom, and Nordstrom Rack! I have found some of my favorite pieces in my entire wardrobe on the sales rack at any of those stores. If you take the time, you can dress for less (fingers crossed that Ross doesn’t sue me).

These are all of my favorites from this month. I really liked November because of all the experiences I got to have (and it’s my birthday month). I feel so grateful to have all of the people in my life and the opportunities that I have. Thank you to everyone who made my birthday so special (Mom, Dad, Spar, Emma, Vanessa, Ignite Volleyball, Cal Poly Volleyball, Monay, and so on)! Everyone really made me feel special. Thank you so much for reading about my favorites this month!
Love,
Kaitlin
