Cute Christmas Decoration Ideas!

Christmas is the best time of the year, after all. Why not celebrate it in every way possible and decorate every part of your life? That’s what I’m doing and I have to tell you: I love it. There’s signs of the holidays in every aspect of my life and it’s so amazing. With Christmas rapidly approaching, here are some great ways to celebrate this wonderful time of year!

Your Car

This is actually one of the first things I decorated this year. I put antlers and a red Rudolph nose on my car and it’s one of the best things ever! You can find some of your own wherever car accessories are sold. Since Christmas is almost over, you can probably find some cute ones on sale! My dad surprised me with new ones last year from PepBoys and I highly recommend them. They’re festive, fun, and spice up any car. It’s one of the best ways to get into the Christmas spirit. Also, get a holiday-themed air freshener to make your car smell like the most wonderful time of the year as well. You can find those anywhere!

Your Room

Candles! Lights! Themed message boards! Mine right now says “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” and it’s great. I have three candles in my room: “Winter”, “Frosted Cranberry”, and “Sweater Weather. All are from Bath and Body Works and I love them. Part of the reason that this time of year is so great is the candles that come out! I have Christmas lights strung above my window that are so cute at night. You can find Christmas lights at Target.com or at any store near you. There are so many fun ways to decorate your room for the holiday season!

Your Makeup

I have started using a lot of red lipstick, bronze nuetrals, and winged liner for the end of the year. Red for Christmas! With such a bold lip choice, you want to make sure that the rest of your makeup is toned down so that can be the focus of your face. I love Ruby Woo from Mac,  MAC Red from Mac, and Uncensored from Fenty BeautyRuby Woo and Uncensored are mattes, which is perfect for the holidays. You won’t have to worry about your lipstick while sipping on your eggnog! I love MAC Red for the satin finish, which is luxurious. I’m also eyeing Kylie Cosmetic’s Boss lipstick. So many options to choose from!

Your Home

This is one of the easier ones! When you’re home for the holidays, decorate with your family. With your Christmas tree, pick it out together and decorate it with family ornaments! In my family, we have a tradition of hanging Danish ornaments all over the house in our windows. We also have tons of lights strung out inside and outside our home. The lights are so pretty at nighttime! At night, we’ll sit as a family in the living room with the fire roaring with the Christmas tree lit with some candles blazing. It’s such a comforting time and part of the reason that this is my absolute favorite time of the year!

Baking

Another important part of the holiday season! With a Danish family, it isn’t Christmas until we make the famous Danish butter cookies. I also experiment with other baked goods like fudge, Oreo cookie bites, and macarons (the macarons didn’t turn out as well as the others…it’s a very hard dessert). I get so much joy from baking stuff for others and having them enjoy it. As a family tradition, my mother and father handle making Christmas dinner and I’m in charge of the desserts. You can bring out some Christmas cheer with the right treat!

Those are just some of the best ways to prepare for the Christmas season! Decorating is one of the fun parts of this time of year and doing it with friends and family only makes it better. I hope you have a wonderful holiday season with everyone you care about! Thank you so much for reading!

Love,

Kaitlin
