Wow, it’s already Christmas Eve! It feels like the past couple of weeks have really flown by. 2018 has been a long year, but the end is approaching fast. I’m excited for 2019 and where it will take me. But for right now, I want to focus on Christmas. As I’ve been saying all month, this is the most wonderful part of the year!
I celebrate Christmas with my parents in our home in Los Angeles. In true Danish tradition, we open our presents together on Christmas Eve and then go to a friend’s holiday party (can’t wait to see you, Karen and Larry and everyone!). On Christmas Day, my family goes skiing! The slopes are empty and we almost have the entire resort to ourselves.
But one of my most favorites traditions is baking for Christmas Eve! My mom and dad handle the dinner and the side dishes and everything else while I tackle the whole dessert. Depending on the year, I might make different desserts or have two or three “courses.” This year, I’m debating through a couple different recipes. Here are some ideas for recipes to make for your family for Christmas!
Danish Butter Cookies
In my family, this is a must. It physically cannot be Christmastime without these cookies around our house! My mother loves making them and I always help her when possible. This year, she made them before I came home from college. But luckily for me, we’re making multiple batches this year. My mom won’t let me share the super secret family recipe! I did some research and found this amazing Vanilla Bean Danish Butter Cookie recipe from Jessica Gavin. Making this will be a home run for you and your family.

Oreo White Chocolate Fudge
Now this is one of the desserts I made this year. I love this recipe and have made it several times already. For Thanksgiving, this was my dessert for my family and they loved it! It’s already a family tradition and this is the third time I’ve made it. It’s super easy with only three ingredients! Thanks to thehappierhomemaker.com, I found this 3 Ingredient Oreo White Chocolate Fudge recipe. Everyone who has tried this loves this recipe and I can’t recommend it enough. I’m making it for Christmas presents for a lot of my friends this year.

Oreo Balls Recipe
This is the third and final recipe everyone should make for their Christmas meals! I’m really excited to try this recipe. This is another easy one, needing only a few ingredients. When I saw it on Pinterest, I knew I had to save it. You can find the recipe for Easy Oreo Balls right here from Tip Buzz! I’m going to be making it today for a holiday party tonight and I can’t wait for everyone to try it.

Wow, these are some great recipes! The holiday season is amazing for tons of reasons, but all of the quality foods are definitely towards the top of the list. Baking has always been a fun thing for me and this just makes it better. I hope everyone tries this delicious recipes for their friends and family!
