I’ve been using Fenty beauty ever since it came out and it’s easily one of my favorite brands for the past year. Rihanna decided to start the new year off with a bang as she just released a ton of new products on the 11th. She’s bringing out concealer, setting powders, and more brushes/makeup tools. As soon as I heard, I knew I was going to be looking into it. I love the foundation a lot, and my concealer I’ve been using have been running out slowly but surely. Here are all of the details you need to know about the new launch!
Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Concealer
Here’s some highlights about the concealer. Overview: “a creamy, long-wear, crease-proof liquid concealer with light-as-air, medium-to-full coverage that brightens under-eyes and conceals blemishes and redness.” This product is made without parabens or phthalates and is completely cruelty-free, which is a big thing for me. One of the reasons that I like Fenty Beauty so much is that it’s always cruelty-free and very vocal about that. I know of some brands that will remain nameless that make that knowledge hard to find unless you really want to know. About the concealer, Rihanna also says: “This is the full-coverage cure to living life to the fullest. This sweat-resistant formula comes in a ground-breaking range of 50 easy-to-shop, soft-matte shades, each designed to pair with your Pro Filt’r Foundation shade.” Since I’m 120 in the foundation, I’ll be checking out the concealer in the shade 120. A big note is that while they are the same number, the formulas are not the same color. They complement each other perfectly, which is why they’re listed as the same number for ease for the consumer. Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Setting Powder
This is the other huge product from this launch. I’ve been using the Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder for a couple of months now, and I really like it. I know that when I need a new setting powder, I will definitely check this one out. It’s already on my Sephora Loves List! Here’s what Rihanna has to say about this product: “This silky loose powder works all day to reduce shine and blur the look of pores, fine lines, and imperfections for a hyper-smooth filter that won’t flash back. Eight versatile shades melt into your unique skin tone, letting you set, perfect, and brighten without caking or setting.” All in all, a very impressive product! I’ve been watching tons of different reviews for the new products on YouTube (my favorite is the one by Jackie Aina that you can find right here!) and I’m excited to try this out eventually. Powder Puff Setting Brush 170
I’ve been a big fan of the Cheek-Hugging Highlight Brush 120 from Fenty Beauty, so I was interested in this brush when I heard about it! This brush is made for the setting powder (featured above), but works with other powders as well. Here’s what Rihanna says: “this brush is made with soft, synthetic bristles that are carefully tapered to pick up and diffuse Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Setting Powder with the ultimate ease. Like a powder puff in brush form, it’s designed for fast, even blending and the most flawless, filtered finish you’ve ever seen.” Wow, when I pick up the setting powder, this will be an item I have to get with it! Precision Concealer Brush 180
Another makeup tool that came with this launch! With the release of the concealer, it only made sense for there to be a brush that went with it. With the same soft pink and silver design of all the other brushes, 180 joins the Fenty family. Sephora.com describes this brush as follows: “these super-soft, synthetic bristles are custom cut at an angle to pick up and pack on the coverage you need with spot-on precision. The rounded design hugs the under-eye area and around the nose, making it perfect for applying and setting concealer, as well as blending foundation in hard to reach areas.” It sounds like the perfect tool! I find it hard to blend concealer with my BeautyBlender because my undereyes are sensitive, so I’m interested in this product for sure. Lil Precision Makeup Sponge Duo 105
The last product released with this launch are two mini makeup sponges, perfect for small touches. They’re the mini-version of the original Precision Makeup Sponge 100, which I think is a smart product. You can use these sponges along with the concealer brush for an airbrushed finish. I haven’t used either sponge, but I’ve heard good reviews about them! You can find this duo for $18 right here on Sephora.com!
I think this release is full of products that we’ve all been wanting from Fenty Beauty and they have delivered! I’m so glad that they’re expanding on the original products that everyone is a fan of.
