My March Favorites!

We’ve reached the end of another month! I feel like time has a bit of a weird feeling to it right now. I think of the last time I was coaching, which was less than two weeks ago, but it feels like over a month. Time just don’t feel normal. It’s hard to believe that at the beginning of the month, I was in school and living in my on-campus apartment and my only worries were being on time for coaching and submitting assignments on time. Now, everything is drastically different. Some of the things that haven’t changed, however, are my favorites for the month!

Mario Badescu Drying Lotion

I have heard such great things about the Mario Badescu Drying Lotion. I have been using it for about two weeks at this point and I have zero complaints to date. My skin was going through a bit of a rough patch during the beginning of the month (I blame the stress of the pandemic, honestly) and this lotion was the one that saved the day. Every night, after completing my regular skincare routine, I would take a Q-tip and then dip it into the glass bottle and then put it over my blemishes and trouble spots. I would sleep with it overnight and then in the morning, wash my face. Ever since I started using this product, my skin has bounced back in every way. I went from several blemishes to less than two on average. I highly recommend this product and it’s not that bad of a price ($17 at ulta.com). If you have any trouble spots, please try this product out!

My Bullet Journal and Materials

Like I posted a few weeks ago, I got a new physical bullet journal and I have been loving it. With everything going on, it’s been nice to take some time to enjoy the little things, like doodling and designing the different spreads for the weeks and months and trackers. It’s nice to have something relaxing to look forward to every day. And one of my favorite bullet journalers in the community, AmandaRachLee, has gotten back into making videos of her Plan With Me’s. When I first started out, her spreads and designs were what inspired me. I love having her stuff playing the background when I am doing my work. Speaking of, I got some new materials, which leads to my next favorite for this month.

Michael’s Art Store

This store has been a favorite of mine ever since I started bullet journaling in 2017, but I have been going there more and more since the beginning of the month. The store has been having amazing deals all month. With everything going on, a lot of people are staying home. Companies like Michael’s are offering discounts, how-tos, and different projects for kids and adults who are staying home alike. It’s nice to see companies creating creative opportunities for people to find fun in their homes and I support Michael’s for doing this wholeheartedly.

Disney+

I think everyone is enjoying the extent of their streaming services right about now. Netflix, YoutubeTV, and Hulu have been my favorites for a long time. Disney Plus has been working its way into the competition! With classic tv shows that I grew up on such as Zach and Cody and Hannah Montana, I can enjoy the nostalgia while being cooped up with this quarantine. Another plus side (pardon the pun) of this service is that they keep releasing new movies and tv shows. While Disney Channel shows have been decreasing in quality (in direct comparison to the shows I grew up on), I see a new type of Disney Channel emerging and I am here for it.

These are my favorite things from this month! It’s been a long month with a lot of changes, but there are still things to look forward to and be positive about. From art and Disney to skincare, I have found some new loves and rekindled old favorites. March was a month of growth, for sure. There’s nothing like hardship that forces people to either grow or stay the same. And I am proud to not stay the same. Thanks, as always, for reading.

Love,
