I feel like I’m starting every post with some sentiment about quarantine. Well, I’m not going to stop now. I have a lot of spare time at home now, especially now that I am DONE with my undgraduate degree! I finished my last final on Thursday and my commencement was supposed to be on May 16th (thanks, COVID, you ruin everything), so I’m done! A bit anticlimatic, but c’est la vie. With my spare time at home and some targeted Instagram ads, I found a new love in the nail care company Olive & June!
I did some research on the company and I liked what I had found. In 2013, Sarah Gibson Tuttle founded Olive and June. There are three nail salons located throughout California for Olive and June: Beverly Hills, Pasadena, and Santa Monica. Of course, no one can visit the salons at the moment. Their website is where I found everything I wanted! You can go through their nail polishes, nail treatments, and different bundles of nail products for sale. I personally found a lot of interest in the Studio Box.

The product description from the website is as follows: “Your perfect at-home mani begins here. Inside The Studio Box 9-piece set you’ll find: our Nail Polish Remover Pot to erase old polish and prep nails, a Clean-Up Brush for easy touch-ups, a flat-edge Nail Clipper, dual-grit Nail File, and Buffer Cube for shaping and smoothing, The Poppy universal polish bottle handle, your choice of nail polish, The Top Coat, and hydrating Cuticle Serum with cactus flower.”
I was immediately intrigued. After all, I love my nail care as much as the next girl and with a bunch of free time at home ahead of me, it made sense. The Studio Box is listed as $50 on the website (if you join their mailing list, you can get 10% off your first order!). When my box came in the mail, I was stoked! The packaging was unique to the company and very cute.

What’s In the Box:
- Gentle and effective non-acetone nail polish remover formula
- Non-greasy, fast-absorbing nourishing Cuticle Serum
- Flat-edge Nail Clipper
- Dual-grit Nail File
- Dual-grit Buffer Cube
- Clean-up Brush
- The Poppy – our universal polish bottle handle
- Nail polish color of your choice
- High shine protective top coat
- A built-in shelfie for your nail selfies (*phone not included)
- Sturdy box for easy clean up and storage
I absolutely love my Studio Box! I did my nails the same day that my package got delivered and was more than pleased with everything within the box. I still had some polish on from my last at-home mani, so I got to use the non-acetone nail polish remover formula. It took all of the polish off my nails instantly! I also love that I have to dip my finger into the pot instead of putting nail polish remover onto a cottonball and trying that way.

The next step of my routine is to use the dual-grit nail file and buffer cube, along with the flat-edge nail clipper to make the shape of my nails. I was impressed with the quality of these tools and how easy it was to make the desired shape for my mani. I especially loved how effective the buffer cube and nail file were! If you are interested in just the tools that you’ll need for your at-home mani, you might want to check out the Tool Box! It’s a total of a $53 value, but you can get it for yourself for $42. It has all the same items at the Studio Box, but without the polish of your choice or the high-shine glossy top coat.

I think my overall favorite part of the tools that came with the Studio Box would be the cuticle serum! This serum is an Allure Beauty award winner, and for good reason. The serum, according to the website, is “hydrating and soothing, fast absorbing, non-greasy, lightweight finish, soft foam tip for controlled application, and vegan and cruelty-free.” It helped my nails get stronger before I put on the polish! I highly recommend the serum, you can find it online right here.

The best part I saved for last! I love the polishes available and I like their formula, but my favorite part is the Poppy! It’s an easier way to apply nail polish without the hassle. I just slide the Poppy over my nail polish cap (all Olive and June polishes have an over-cap for easy use with the Poppy!) and paint my nails as normal. It made it so much easier to apply, especially on my left hand. Such a game changer!

All in all, I’m a big fan of the Studio Box. High quality products, unique and cute packaging, and a great company. I don’t think you can go wrong! Not to mention that their customer service is to die for; they helped me in so many different ways with speed and effectiveness. I really like this brand and everything that they stand for, which is why I’m writing about them!
Do you like doing your nails? Have you used Olive and June’s products before? Let me know down in the comments! And, as always, thank you so much for reading!
Love,
