My first Illumicrate box finally came! I was so, so, so excited for my first box. I had a few ideas of what was going to be included in the box (and I was right when I guessed the book of the month!) and could not be happier. Thanks to some shipping delays, I was able to receive my June and July boxes at the same time. I highly recommend this book box because it has some amazing features. Each of the books are highly customised and have unique qualities. Both of the books I got for June and July had exclusive covers, foil embossing on the hardbacks, stencilled edges, and signed by the authors.
Each of the books were absolutely gorgeous and they’re both written by amazing authors. I like how they market their books by sharing the synopsis of the book, but not the title. There are easy ways to figure out which book they’re talking about (thank you, exposé instagrammers!) and plan your tbr accordingly.
I filmed unboxings for both June and July (the June one is live right now on my channel, I have linked it right here!). I’m so excited to see what book comes in August (I heard it’s a standalone thriller about haunted books, I can’t wait!). Illumicrate is a really great company and they have loads of great books and products. They do special editions as well as the monthly books (I snagged the one for The Night Circus, I can’t wait for it to come out later this year).
