I am finding more and more free time as summer school starts to slow down and I can find a few minutes to enjoy some of the best shows. There are three shows that are so good that I want to watch as many episodes as possible and I had to share them. Here are some of the shows that are perfect for summer!
Grey’s Anatomy
This show is such a classic. I restarted it a little bit ago because I haven’t watched it all the way through yet and I can tell you, it’s so easy to binge watch! The characters develop so much throughout the series and there are so many complex little subplots that interconnect the characters in every way possible. Season fifteen just got added to Netflix, so it’s the perfect show for binge watching. The official synopsis of the show is as follows: “a medical based drama centered around Meredith Grey, an aspiring surgeon and daughter of one of the best surgeons, Dr. Ellis Grey. Throughout the series, Meredith goes through professional and personal challenges along with fellow surgeons at Seattle Grace Hospital.”
Brooklyn 99
Hulu has this show and it’s one of the best. A comedic portrayal of cops in Brooklyn, original characters, and amazing dialogue, this show is one of my all-time favorites. There are five or six seasons on Hulu, which helps it fit onto the list of binge-worthy shows. Jake and Amy have one of the most romantic relationships I’ve ever seen, and Raymond Holt along with his dog, Cheddar, are my favorite characters. I highly recommend this show because it truly has something for everyone! The summary is: “Set in the fictional 99th Precinct of the New York Police Department in Brooklyn, Brooklyn Nine-Nine follows a team of detectives headed by the overly serious, newly-appointed Captain Raymond Holt. The detectives include Jake Peralta, who frequently arrests the most people, despite his relaxed, carefree attitude; this annoys his stern and by-the-book partner, Amy Santiago. The hard-working but timid Charles Boyle is partnered with the stoic and sometimes aggressive Rosa Diaz. Detectives Michael Hitchcock and Norm Scully seem incompetent, but have solved more cases than the others because they have been on the job much longer. The detectives report to Sergeant Terry Jeffords, a gentle giant and devoted family man who is initially afraid to go back to active police work for fear of dying in the line of duty and leaving his children fatherless. The precinct also includes sarcastic civilian administrator Gina Linetti, who dislikes her job, prefers to enjoy her social life, and believes that dancing is her life goal.”
The Bachelorette
Another summer classic! Every summer, thirty men compete for the heart of the Bachelorette (this season is Hannah B.!). I’ve been watching this show and its counterpart, The Bachelor, since my senior year of high school. This season has been exciting, with the members of the show traveling all over Europe and the rest of the world. My two favorites at the moment are Peter and Tyler! I hope Hannah falls in love with one of them! It’s such an easy show to watch because of all of the plot twists and dramatic points. The summary is: an eligible Bachelorette (usually from the previous season of the Bachelor) has to choose from 25-30 men and find one to be her husband.
Those are the shows that are perfect for bingeing during summer! I’m a big fan of all three shows and recommend them to everyone just because they all have so much to offer. Do you have any favorite shows? Let me know in the comments. And thank you so much for reading!
