Happy Friday! January is already more than halfway over, but it still feels like the year just started. I think once school starts for me next week, everything will go back to normal and my routine will be back in place. One routine that has also changed has been my skincare routine! I have found some new products that I am a huge fan of and have added them to my favorite skincare. Here is my updated skincare routine!
Rodan + Fields Unblemish
This has not changed from my routine in years. However, the formulas of these products have changed slightly. I enjoy these products and have found them to truly help my skin and prevent breakouts. I use this routine every night so that I can prevent any blemishes from popping up and also handling those that are already on my face. This and controlling my diet (limited dairy and sugars) are the two biggest ways I prevent blemishes on my face. I doubt that I will ever stop using Unblemish in any way.
Glow Recipe Watermelon Pink Juice Moisturizer
I originally got a sample of this as a reward from Sephora. I had read the reviews and saw that some users had gotten breakouts from using this product and I was a bit apprehensive to try it for myself. One day, I gave it a try and loved it off the bat. It’s pink, the best color ever, and smells just like watermelons. It’s a lighter moisturizer than what I’m used to, so it’s perfect for when I am just out of the shower and need a quick hydration pick-me-up. I recommend it so long as you try a sample first and make sure it’s right for your skin! You can get this product for $39 from sephora.com.
Glow Recipe Watermelon + AHA Glow Sleeping Mask
This was another part of the sample set I got with the Pink Juice Moisturizer. This product also had reviews of giving people bad skin problems as well, but I didn’t get any and I have super sensitive skin. This mask is perfect for when you have dry skin towards the end of the day and you want to wake up with glowing skin. I highly recommend trying a sample before springing for the $45 mask from Glow Recipe.
Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask in Vanilla
I picked up this product from the Sephora VIB sale last November and this lip mask has become an absolute staple in my skincare routine. I know that for a very long time I will continue to use this! It was only $20 for full retail (and I got it on sale during November, so that was even more of an incentive) and it will last me months. I can’t believe how much product is packed into the tiny jar. My lips used to be dry as hell during the colder months but because of this lip mask, they aren’t anymore! I recommend it to everyone and it’s only $20 for months and months of use.
Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Antioxidant Face Oil
I got a sample of this from Sephora a few weeks ago. I had always heard great things about the company but had never gotten around to trying their stuff. My friend Riley had let me try one of their serums once and ever since, they’ve been on my mind. This face oil is absolutely amazing with how hydrating it is. I thought that face oils would cause oil for sensitive skin but thankfully, I was wrong. This oil can be found for $72 on sephora.com! I would recommend this to those who have a bit of drier skin and want to have soft skin all day long.
Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater
This product has gotten so popular lately! I bought this during the summer and use it on average two to three times a day. It’s such a nice refresher and pick-me-up during the long days, especially when I’m sitting at my desk for hours at a time doing work or studying. It’s very calming and smells amazing, not to mention is a great finishing spray for days with lighter makeup! The brand has a bunch of different facial sprays as well, so there’s a variety to choose from. Check it out!
That’s everything in my updated skincare routine! I was really excited to look into some new products and see how I liked them. There were some products that just weren’t it for me and then there were the ones that got added into my routine. Do you know any of these products? Any recommendations that you think I would like? Let me know! And, as always, thank you so much for reading!
Love,
