My May Favorites!

Another month has passed! This was definitely a big month for me in a bunch of different ways. I graduated college!! I officially have my Bachelor of Science in Marketing Management with an Emphasis in Professional Sales from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. It’s been a bit jarring being done with school, especially with quarantine still going on. Because of my graduation and the celebration of it, I was able to find some different products that I hadn’t tried before and they ended up on my favorites list for this month. Here are my favorite things from the month of May!

MacBook Pro 2020 13″

My college graduation present was a new laptop, which I am so grateful for! I’ve been using it for a week now and have completely fallen in love with it. It’s such a powerful computer and it really has the ability to handle so much. From writing, to graphic design, to all of my work emails and more, this computer can do it all. The graphics on it are insane. I watched Jurassic World from my iTunes library and I couldn’t believe the quality. I had been using my old laptop for six years and it had never led me astray, but when I found out there was an opportunity to get a new computer, I jumped on it. I have been using it for a week now and I have absolutely zero complaints. I love the Touch Bar and use it with every app on the computer. The battery lasts forever and I have been able be super productive on all of the different platforms that I use.

I know that this will be such a game changer for all of my work, my digital designing, and my writing. I am so excited about using my laptop and being able to try different programs. I’m very grateful for the opportunity to receive it as a gift! Thank you to my parents for the most amazing graduate present ever. I know I will be using this laptop for a long time to come!

Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Antioxidant Face Oil Serum

During the Sephora spring sale, the Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Antioxidant Face Oil was one of the products I purchased. The only time I can justify spending $72 on a face serum is if it’s on sale or if I won the lottery. Since I haven’t won the lottery, I knew I would only be purchasing it when I was able to get it on sale. Now, having used it for a couple of weeks, I can officially say that I am a fan of the serum! Sephora has a couple of sales every year, which is when I have the opportunity to try new products or stock up on products I’ve finished. The serum is very hydrating and I use it at night, usually after a shower so that my pores are more open. Every morning, I wake up with soft skin that’s hydrated. The cost is steep, but there is a lot of product in the jar and I only use a few drops every couple of days. I know that this serum will last a long time and worth the price because of the longevity.

Everywhere Belt Bag 1L lululemon

I have been running a lot during quarantine. Due to all of the gyms being closed, I had to find a different way to stay active. Running has truly become a new love for me. I like to use Strava for tracking my runs and how long I go with each activity. One of my must-haves for running is the lululemon Everywhere Belt Bag 1L. I like to wear headphones while I run, so I keep the case for them with me. For the Strava app, I keep my phone on me. I also like to wear the face sunscreen stick from SunBum and keep it with me in my bag. I absolutely love this belt bag. I can tighten it so that it doesn’t move around while I’m running or I can loosen it so that it’s a comfortable fit while I go on walks or run errands. The material of the bag is very sturdy and is high quality. I recommend this bag! It has pockets on the inside and a zippered pocket on the back so that everything can be organized. I love this bag and wear it as much as possible, check it out here!

AirPod Pros

This was one of the bigger purchases I had been saving up for. I had put aside money from my paychecks from when I was still working and then decided to pull the trigger on it earlier this month. I am so glad that I did because these headphones are totally worth the price tag! The noise cancellation feature is amazing. I like to do work on my computer in coffee shops (back when that was a thing) and this feature would come in so handy! The quality of music is almost ridiculous in comparison to the original AirPods. I love podcasts and listening to different music while I run, so I am very happy with the Pros. I recommend them or the original AirPods if that’s something that you’re interested in! If possible, I would recommend the Pros over the originals.

Youtube

When I’m not working on content, I like to browse different videos and streaming platforms. One of my personal favorites this month has been Youtube! I’ve been watching a bunch of different people, from some of my favorites, like James Charles’s new show Instant Influencer, and to new videos about the beauty community and other interesting topics. I binge-watched Shane Dawson’s The Mind of Jake Paul docuseries last weekend and have been watching different videos from all of the people I am subscribed to. I like having stuff going on in the background while I am working on my laptop or doing something around the house, so Youtube has definitely been a favorite of mine this month!
