I can’t believe that I’ve had this blog for over two years! That’s such a long time and I feel like I have truly learned a lot. Throughout the different stages of my life, I have been enamored with writing. Writing fiction, poetry, prose, nonfiction, and contemporary, I’ve explored a lot of different genres. And I’ve been able to explore a lot of them through this blog!
The ability to creatively express myself has been such a ride. I love the freedom of being able to write about what I want and what interests me. I feel like a lot of my creative freedom has helped me in other areas of my life. I’m always happier when I’m writing and I’m usually more confident when I believe in what I’m writing.
I have grown as a writer through this blog. I have been able to keep to a schedule of posting once a week and staying disciplined if I have other things going on. I’ve also found love for new products and ideas through suggestions and researching for different posts. In the past two years, I’ve written a lot of words and learned more than I thought I would.
I’ve always written for myself, for my personal enjoyment or for an assignment. But it’s been interesting writing for others that read my blog. When writing for others, I get to keep more in mind while writing, which has opened up more genres. I get to write about what’s more popular instead of only what interests me.
Overall, the past two years have been great. I’ve gotten to write about new topics, both for myself and for y’all, which has been such a great experience. I’ve contact companies about writing about them and their products (and I got responses, which was huge). I have loved having this blog and will continue to love it as I keep honing my writing.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Thank you for reading, liking, commenting, and interacting with this blog and all of the posts. I am so lucky to have the opportunity to write every week and I’m just so happy. Here’s to another year!
Love,
